Abedu-Bentsi, Sr. serves as the Quality Assurance Partner. He is a licensed Liberian tax practitioner, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in the United States of America. Additionally, he holds membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana, where he is recognized as a Chartered Accountant. Abedu-Bentsi, Sr. is also a member of the Liberia Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant-Liberia. With a professional tenure exceeding twenty years, Abedu-Bentsi, Sr. has held significant roles in accounting, auditing, and financial management within non-governmental organizations, as well as private and public sector entities. Notably, he served as the inaugural Head of Finance at the Liberia Revenue Authority from September 2014 to February 2018. During his tenure at PKF-Liberia (1999 – 2005), Abedu-Bentsi, Sr. played a pivotal role in Central Bank Audits (CBL), culminating in his leadership as Officer-In-Charge of the CBL’s engagement in 2004 and 2005.
In the realm of education, Abedu-Bentsi, Sr. is a respected lecturer in accounting, taxation, and Public Sector Finance at Stella Maris Polytechnic. He provides tutorials for candidates who are preparing for the professional examinations at the Liberia Institute of Certified Accountants (LICPA). Also, he is currently the Chairman of the Examination Committee at the LICPA. He also holds the position of Chairman of the Accounting Department at the institution. Additionally, he has actively participated in and facilitated over sixty-five workshops and conferences, focusing on private, not-for-profit, and public financial management, both within and outside Liberia.
